This grade of steel has good rigidity and the finish has a smooth appearance. It's powder coated with an automotive grade black finish that will look good for years. This is a heavy duty product capable of holding the heaviest bird feeders and heavy hanging baskets. Compare to "Big Box store" products which are generally made with Hot Rolled material.
